Race Training

Zoom Camps offers race training for all ages and levels. Starting from 7 years old beginning their sports development, to adult racers competing for FIS ranking.

Our method of training is a combination of years of experience along with different nationality trainers as one team. All the coaches are brining a variety of learning methods from their countries.

  • At Zoom Camps we believe in the improvement of the athletes by using their own intuition and feelings, while acquiring technical and tactical knowledge.

Zoom Camps training groups are a maximum size of 7 athletes per coach and a maximum of 4 athletes if booking a private coach.

  • Our coaches are fully qualified and have experience with ski racers of all ages. All of them speak at least 3 languages.

Once the coaches have established the objectives of the athletes in the areas which need improvement, they will design a program devised to each individual. The coaches have many materials at their disposal, including reserved runs, communication equipment, timing systems and video cameras to give the athletes video feedback. We also have all the equipment needed for course setting, both educational and specific.

After the training week the athletes have access to their videos, reports and graphs on our web site.

  • For those athletes who wish to participate in several weeks of training we offer the possibility to design a personal and global plan, technically and physically.

Associations and groups can also take advantage of Zoom camps training to carry out their pre season training plans, allowing them to benefit from special group rates and receiving adapted training designed to meet their objectives.

In case of receiving non-accompanied minors, Zoom Camps has specialized personnel to take care of them during the non-training hours.

  • Saas-Fee

Saas-Fee glacier is the best location in Europe for summer skiing due to its size, height and sun exposition. It is not uncommon to be training side by side with the national teams of many countries and world-class racers.

The glacier is at an altitude of between 3200 and 3600 metres. It has three T-bars providing access to 3 ski slopes, 5 training slopes, a snow park with a half-pipe and a ski/boarder cross. In order to access the glacier in summertime, you must take two gondolas and an underground funicular train. The trip takes a total of 35 minutes.

Normally each year, at the beginning of November the vertical skiable area increases by 700 metres adding several more kilometres of slopes.

Saas-Fee is a town with pedestrian streets where only certain electric vehicles are allowed. The atmosphere is very quite and clean. The town is surrounded by an impressive landscape of forest and glaciers up to 4400 metres. It has all of the necessary services and provides a variety of sport facilities. These safe and relaxed conditions make it an ideal place for training.

  • Condition Training

All athletes taking part in our camps will undergo dry land physical workouts throughout the week. These workouts will be somewhat more demanding for those taking part in a race training.

Dry land work focuses on recovery from the training sessions and protection against injury, also seeking to improve coordination, balance, agility and flexibility.

Saas-Fee is the ideal setting for the practice of a wide range of sports and dry land training.

  • Transfers from/to airport

Zoom Camps offers transfers from/to Milano, Zurich, Basel and Geneva Airports.

The transfer takes approximately 3 hours.
